Ephesians 4:27 (Amplified Bible)
27Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].
One of the footholds I have struggled with is living in the past or living in the future. Yes, we are to remember what God has done (not what we have or have not) and we are to be looking forward to the future but not living there either {many times that can paralyze me in fear or expectation}.
I am going to purpose [live consciously] this week to not do that.
I have so many, SO MANY, things to be thankful for and enjoy IN the present right here right now!
I believe God wants me to be here now, ABIDING [abide: dwell, remain, continue, lodge, encamp] in Christ. This is a very present thing!
After all the present is a gift! :)
Sooo... one way I am going to do just that is celebrate each day, on here, for the next week.

ReplyDeleteThanks for that, Shauna. I've been struggling feeling depressed and fatigued this week, and had a hard time just enjoying the moments. I love the pictures of the kids having a blast, and they made me smile ;) God has given more of a spirit of thanks and joy today...isn't He wonderful.
