10 Things You Might Not Know

I read Beth Moore's Blog and today on her blog she shared 10 things we may not know about her and so I thought it would be fun to do that here!  Share in a comment - I would love to read your 10 things!

1.)  When I was in high school there was a joke between my girlfriends that I would have 14 kids (have no idea where it started but I am beginning to wonder if it was prophetic :))!

2.)  I love animals and when I was in college I missed animals so bad I bought a hamster that just bit me all.the.time.

3.)  I am the youngest of 4 girls.

4.)  I gave birth to 4 of my kids w/ no pain meds and hubby delivered 2.  I dreamed of a home birth but was too chicken.

5.)  My hubby was my first kiss (we wont mention any in between kisses - the first and last are all that matters - right, right!? :)).

6.)  I always have wished I could sing and dance but my kids think I am F.A.B.U.LO.U.S :)!

7.)  My hubby and I had the same vision when we met (again) and were seated together at a wedding .... one year later God fulfilled that vision and we were married.  Neither one of us told eachother until we were engaged.

8.)  I am known for being the safety girl - safe, safe, safe.....boy, has God had a hay day with that little issue. ;)

9.)  I had a 9 year crush on Enrique Iglesias until he removed the mole - :( lol.

10.)  My sisters and I tried out for the Amazing Race and made it to the second cut - we were sure we were in (still think they missed out - BIG TIME!)!

Ok Sisters, Bloggy Friends, Bloggy Lurkers....share, share!!!

146 Was Her Number

My life has changed so much in the last 2 years.  One major thing is where I put my thoughts, energy and money.  Each area has drastically changed.  And it is people like this that I admire and desire to get behind with with my prayer and money.

Just because this is a VERY ugly topic does not make it go away.

A little this and that!

Have you ever had so many thoughts to share that you did not know where to start?  That is me this morning!  I honestly do not know where to start so that it makes sense but I am afraid if I do not share a few of these things I may burst!

For starters - the team is set, booked and beginning the journey to Africa - the praying & packing stage!  I personally am in awe of God and who He brought together for this awe!  J and I could not be more excited to see what God is going to do.  I am feeling like a little girl at Christmas again!

The second is, did you know that we serve a mighty God?  A mighty God indeed!  One who has given us His Word to guide and all creation screams of His glory.  After I was reading His Word I stood up and turned around to see this -

Why such a unique cloud?  Just because God wanted to give me something to marvel at this morning.  No man made art can even come close to Gods handiwork!

We serve a mighty God indeed!  Look around you - Praise His name - He is worthy, so worthy!

More to come ...

Letter to her children

A friend actually told me about this post this week - and I stumbled upon it today - thought I would share.

I was thinking about how some may read this as foolishness and this verse popped in my head (love it when that happens - a true sword to cut to truth):

1Corinthians 2:13-14
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I think this letter is so beautiful and could be written with a whole host of topics - just love it.  Enjoy!
