New Life!!

Last night at 2:52 Cassie gave birth to a perfect little boy, David. He is a little peanut 5lbs 8 oz. and 19 inches long. I am so proud of her. Once her water broke it was go time. We were only at the hospital for about an hour before she delivered.

I feel so blessed this morning. I feel overwhelmed by the miracle of new life - can that ever get old?

I am so grateful to of been Cassie's coach. I grieve for Cassie and RW not being together in this moment but overflowing with gratitude for the sacrifice. RW is fighting for us all and the freedoms we have - thank you RW, thank you Cassie, thank you David. If you can, thank a soldier today! There is a very proud Papa in the midst of a war today.

  1. How surpised I was to find myself sobbing as I read this post! I guess all of it - the miracle of new life, a daddy's sacrifice, the sacrifice of so many servicemen to protect the freedom we have here in America, the price their families pay - it just overwhelmed me! I'm so happy for Cassie and RW, and so glad you got to be a part of it. I agree - the miracle of new life can never get old!

  2. He is absolutely precious--and so tiny. My babes were 8 and 8 1/2 pounders. And by the way, love the necklace!
